Leyden Press is a digital-first publishing house. We combine strong editorial instincts with real market intelligence to publish books that find their readers—and keep finding them.
Our approach is simple: publish fewer titles, invest more in each one, and make decisions based on both editorial conviction and actual data about what readers want.

Before the Pilgrims crossed the Atlantic, William Brewster ran a rogue printing press in Leiden, Netherlands—publishing texts that England’s government desperately wanted suppressed.
When those same Pilgrims built their settlement in Plymouth, they named the first street Leyden Street, after the city that protected their right to publish.
That street is still here. We drive on it. Our name comes from it. And while the tools have changed dramatically since 1620, the core idea hasn’t: use the best available technology to get important writing in front of people who need to read it.
We happen to think that’s a pretty good mission for a modern publishing company.
Jen runs the press. She handles editorial direction, acquisitions, and the overall publishing strategy. She built Leyden Press because she saw a gap between traditional publishing’s editorial strengths and the digital tools that actually get books to readers today.
Tim manages the editorial pipeline from manuscript through final production. He coordinates editing, design, formatting, and quality control—making sure every title hits our standards across every format before it goes live.
